A moment to support your family

If you are a believer in Christ, please pray today. Right now. Take two minutes and whisper a prayer for your brothers and sisters who are happily but painfully slaving away at providing the world with the love of Jesus. These men and women have spouses and children who do not see them for weeks or months at a time. They make less in one month than I spend on a pair of jeans. They are forced to navigate unsafe terrain and encounter dangerous people on a regular basis. On foot. For hours.

Need names for your prayers? No problem. Here are just a few of the heroes I’ve had the honor to shake hands with:

Need more reasons to pray and ways to help? Shoot me an email. We’ll talk. Come on people, let’s put our time and talents to work — not just for those who need to hear, but those who break their hearts and backs to share.

Isn’t it amazing the zeal that people outside the US have to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ? We are humbled here daily by how little people live on, but how excited they are to tell people about Jesus. It’s also a challenge to live a more simple life. Most of the people in the Church of the Nazarene in Madagascar will never buy food from a grocery store because they can’t afford it…only an open market. But they give money in the offering every Sunday. Humbling!

Glad you, too, can be a part of visiting great parts of the world to tell stories of people who are sharing God’s love.
