Safety ≠ boys with machetes and coconuts.

01 Sep

Can NOT believe it is September. Also cannot believe one of the tourist stops at Kakum National Park in Ghana.

While in Cape Coast, some of the boys on the ministry trip we shadowed picked up machetes. Seems normal. They proceeded to tote said machetes everywhere, hacking into anything not made of concrete.

When we started our tour of the treetops at Kakum, along the nature path was a spot where you could drink coconut milk from freshly split shells. I thought these three had died and gone to sugar-and-sword heaven.

Of course, our trip was full of safe moments:

But whatever. No lesson. Just a note to have an adventure today, be it safe or not. 🙂

That must have been scary for that poor alligator.
